Our Story
Our Founders
Chloe, Adrienne and Amelia, who are cousins, have joined their passion for the arts and for helping children battling mental health concerns by creating "Therapals". Therapals are hand-made crocheted stress-relief animals or crocheted keychains, that you can customize with your very own selection of essential oils to be used with aromatherapy to help with stress relief, anxiety, mood boosting, improving sleep, or any other concerns. They are selling these products to multiple organizations that deal with helping children mental health
Chloe
Chloe is a 15 year old high schooler, living in the Bay Area, California
with two younger siblings. In her free time she loves reading, playing
tennis and badminton, and skiing during the winters. She also loves
vacationing with her family and shopping with her friends. Since a
young age, she has always gravitated towards projects dealing with
the arts. Finding time to make bracelets or stickers with her sister,
crocheting with her cousins, or playing the piano have all been
instrumental in reducing stress and anxiety that typical teenagers
experience. Recently she helped a close friend who was experiencing
multiple mental health issues and was impacted with how this took
a toll on her friend's life and those around her. This opened her eyes
to see how daily life, such as school or work or relationships with
family or friends, can be really stressful for children. Chloe has found
a way to combine her two passions, crocheting and helping to
improving mental health for the youth, by creating this non profit
organization called Therapals.
Amelia
Amelia is a 13 year-old middle schooler living in the Silicon Valley.
She has one younger sibling and a dog. Amelia enjoys reading the
Hunger Games series playing badminton and rock climbing. Amelia
partakes in art lessons and does art in her free time. She started
crocheting two years ago with her cousin and started a crochet club
with her best friends at school. Amelia also plays the cello. She
started this business with Chloe because she thought it was a good
idea helping kids with mental health issues and creating a healthy
environment for kids and adults with her crochet projects.
Adrienne
Adrienne is a 9 year elementary schooler who learned how to crochet to help her sister Chloe with her project. She enjoys the many hours spent crocheting with her family and watching Netflix at the same time! When not crocheting, you can find Adrienne playing soccer, skiing or participating in robotics. She is obsessed with dogs and all things fluffy.
